Reach for the Stars:

This past week, we had our Usborne “Reach for the Stars” kick-off assembly.  Please encourage your children to read!  On October 1st, students will have the opportunity to peruse the books that they could win for participating. 

 

Student Council Student Body:

Student council elections took place today.  Congratulations to the following students who were voted as board members of our student council.

President: Gabriel Quarranttey

Vice-President: John Figueroa

Secretary: Gianna Costanzo

Treasurer: Gianna Baron

Student Council Fundraiser:

Congratulations to Joseph DiRenzo for raising the most money in the student council Boon Supply (aka: Mixed Bags) fundraiser!  He was lucky enough to throw a pie in Mr. Ceresnak’s face!  Click on the picture below seeing him get prepared.

New Staff Member - Kristen Krasnick:

Please extend a warm-welcome to Kristen Krasnick, our new pre-k disabled teacher.  Besides teaching pre-k, she will also serve as one of our intervention teachers. 

Netcong student helps Lenape Valley Marching Band win first place!

This past weekend, the Lenape Valley Marching Band got 1st place in two competitions. The band performed their Jekyll & Hyde show in Wayne and Vernon on Saturday, September 21st and got 1st place for best visual, best percussion, best color-guard, best music and best overall effect.  8th grader Madelynn Garnett represents Netcong School in the marching band.

October 2nd= Meet and Greet with teacher Kristen Krasnick (Pre-K disabled teacher) – 6pm

October 2nd= SEPAG (Special Education Parent Advisory Group) - 6:45pm Media Center

October 3rd = Class pictures / Morris Co Vo Tech speaking with 8th graders – 9th period

 

 

After School Extra Help:

After school extra help is available for students who may need extra assistance (Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays).  Extra help for 3rd through 8th grade students has already begun.  K-2 extra help begins October 1st.  Location are as follows:

K-2= Room 206

3-5= Room 301

6-8= Room Media Center

ESL= Room 201
