Eliza Cassar & her team win the Girls U11 State title:
Congratulations to Eliza Cassar & the MSC Roxbury Elite Ruckus Girls U11 team. They won the Presidents Cup State Title!!!!! Awesome job!!!

Youth Bias Task Force:
The NJDOE is part of the Interagency Task Force to Combat Youth Bias. The Task Force is hosting community listening sessions to hear from members of the public, particularly parents and children about incidents of bias. Please see the flyers below for upcoming sessions.

Square1Art orders went home this past week. As a reminder, they may be ordered online or on paper through the school. All orders are due no later than November 20th. Please contact Ms. Torsiello with any questions.
1. Keith Hawkins, an international motivational speaker, will be here on Monday, November 18th and Tuesday, November 19th. Students in Grades 3 through 5 and 6 through 8 will participate in assemblies/activities. The purpose is to create a culture of connection, empathy, success for all students, value, inclusiveness, appreciation, and respect.
In addition to students, we want to extend an invitation for ALL parents to join us on Monday, November 18th at 6pm for a special parent presentation from Keith Hawkins on The Power of Parenting. Please join us in the gymnasium. See below for more details.

2. November 22nd- Grades 2 through 8 will attend as assembly/presentation by Meredith O'Connor. Her award winning anti-bullying message has had fans, students, and school administrators alike claim it has changed and impacted their lives. See the flyer below for more details.

Chef It Up:
Chef It Up is having a holiday workshop on 12/13 from 3pm to 5pm. There are only a few spots left. See the flyer below for more information.

The Weather Is Changing:
As the temperatures begin to dip, please make sure your child(ren) bring coats to school. Even in the colder weather, students may go outside for recess. It is recommended that names are written on the inside of all coats.

Do you have a success story about your child? Has your child received recognition for community service activities, sports, and/or the arts? If you think a student or teacher's accomplishment should be recognized or publicized, let us know. Your experiences are the content we are looking for.
